Our Telephone Counselling & Helpline Service

We understand that from time to time you might need a little extra support. At PG Mutual, it’s important to us that our members receive the support they need when they need it. That’s why we introduced a Telephone Counselling and Helpline Service as a membership benefit to our Premium and Standard Income Protection Plus plans.

Our Telephone Counselling and Helpline Service is available day and night, 365 days a year. You can speak with a qualified counsellor and receive impartial advice on a wide range of topics including depression, stress and anxiety, debt, tax and more.

What’s more, this service is currently free of charge to our qualifying members.

What support can you receive through the Telephone Counselling and Helpline Service?

1. Counselling

Counselling is a safe place for you to explore your personal or work-related concerns with professional support. This may take the form of counselling over the telephone or signposting to other agencies if appropriate.

2. Debt

Having issues with tackling financial difficulties? You can receive help with aspects of budgeting, court action, dealing with multiple creditors and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVA).

3. Legal, Money and Tax

Receive friendly, helpful support, information and signposting on personal or work related legal issues, as well as personal finances (excluding investment-related advice) such as financial help and budgeting.

4. Health and Wellbeing

Get answers to your questions and information on health and how to cope with symptoms you may be experiencing from fully qualified wellbeing specialists.

5. Manager Line

Access is available to a specialist team of counsellors who provide support and guidance to managers and team leaders in handling challenging and sensitive issues in their team.

6. Elder and YoungerCare

Support as well as signposting relevant to those who are caring for an elderly friend or relative and parents with children.
